Just like its sister product StarchTrap, CarbTrap contains ingredients that help prevent the breakdown of not only starches, but simple sugars. This gives it a slightly wider effect, especially where food intake contains not only starches but sugars as well.
While not intended for continual use, it is effective as an “emergency measure” when carbohydrate and sugar consumption is difficult or impolite to avoid.

A protein fraction of the Great Northern White Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) can reduce the digestion of starch in foods so that fewer sugars are absorbed, thus reducing available caloric content of some foods, as well as reducing the likelihood of an unwanted insulin response after starch ingestion. CarbTrap additionally contains an alph-glucosidase inhibitor from mulberry leaf, as well as Gymnema sylvestre, which has a modulating effect on blood sugar support.
